Jenny Curran is a self-taught artist based just outside New York City whose work is shaped by emotion, memory, and the rediscovery of creative autonomy. After ten years as a Manhattan advertising executive, she stepped away from her career during the pandemic to focus on raising her growing family. What followed was a profound period of recalibration - one that ultimately led her back to art.

A pivotal moment arrived while watching her young daughter paint freely at the kitchen table - a quiet recognition of how long her own creative voice had been set aside. Days later, she returned to drawing, an experience that felt instinctive and expansive, almost spiritual, as though something essential had reawakened.

What began as private experimentation evolved into a disciplined daily practice that reshaped her inner landscape. Curran’s paintings reflect that awakening. Through layered color, gestural mark-making, and an intuitive approach to composition, her work balances refinement with emotional immediacy. Rooted in the belief that creativity is both healing and inherently ours to reclaim, her paintings offer a point of view that is at once sophisticated and deeply human - grounded in the conviction that artistic freedom is not lost with age, but reclaimed with intention.
